The EOS Ra is a version of Canon's first full-frame mirrorless camera, the EOS R, with some modifications to configure it for use in astrophotography. The infra-red filter is changed to block less of the deep-red light emitted from de-excitations in hydrogen atoms, characteristic of some red stars and nebulae, allowing more vivid pictures of them to be made.[1] The display also allows a greater degree of magification in live view, up to 30x, compared to the standard camera's 10x. The camera is otherwise like the EOS R.
