The EOS 30V is a 35mm SLR autofocus film camera produced by Canon in 2004.
The most basic models are the EOS 33V (Europe, other) and the Elan 7N (Americas). EOS 30V (Europe, other), EOS Elan 7NE (Americas) and EOS 7S (Japan) are the ones with the Eye control focusing feature. Date back variations were also available for the 30V and 7NE. This camera replaced the EOS 30 in the line up.
The electronic vertical-travel, focal-plane shutter has speeds of 30 sec. to 1/4000 sec., B. and flash sync at 1/125 sec. A electronic self-timer is built-in with audible beep and blinking lamp.
The meter uses a 35 zone silicon photo cell for TTL metering. It has a three modes evaluative, partial metering 10% at center focusing point and center-weighted averaging. Manual exposure compensation from ±2 EV in 1/2-stop inc. Metering range of 1 to 20 EV (ISO 100). Film speed range of 6 to 6400 ISO or 25 to 5000 ISO with DX film in 1/3 inc.
