The closest focus distance is 10cm in normal mode and 3cm in macro mode. The shutter speed is from 15 to 1/1500. The camera back features a 78,000 pixel 1.5" LCD screen. Pictures are stored in JPEG format and video uses the MJPEG codec. Data is stored in Secure Digital card. Connectivity options include USB for computer transfers. It uses a NB-3L lithium-ion rechargeable battery.

It was replaced a year later with the Digital IXUS i5.
