The Digital IXUS 100 IS is a ultra compact digital camera announced in 2009 by Canon.

In North America it is known as the PowerShot Digital ELPH SD780 IS, and in Japan as Digital IXY 210 IS. The IS in the name of the camera means image stabilization and it uses an optical lens based design. In most markets the body colour is available in black, silver, red and gold.

It features a 12.1 megapixel 1/2.3" CCD sensor. This produces a maximum resolution of 4000 x 3000. The lens has a 35mm equivalent focal length of 33 – 100 mm making it a 3x zoom. Aperture range of f/3.2 - f/5.8. The closest focus distance is 3cm. The shutter speed is from 1 to 1/1500. The camera back features a 230,000 pixel 2.5" LCD screen and still has a optical viewfinder. Pictures are stored in JPEG format and video uses the .MOV container with H264 video codec and mono LPCM audio. Data is stored in Secure Digital card. Connectivity options include USB2 for computer transfer as well as mini HDMI for connecting to televisions.
