When it appeared in 2010 the Canon Digital IXUS 1000 HS was the slimmest so-called "super-zoom camera" of Canon. HS means high sensitivity. The 10 Megapixel CMOS image sensor together with the Digic-4 image processor makes an emulated film speed ISO 3200 possible for 10 MP images. It's also possible to make high-definition 1.920×1.080 Pixel video films. It has a 3 inch color display, and - no joke - a face-detection system that allows shutter release action triggered by smile :-)))
