Banno Bōeki K.K. (伴野貿易株式会社) was a Japanese company, with addresses in Tokyo (Ginza), Osaka, Dalian and Shenyang (the latter two in China).[1] It distributed the Alma cameras between 1939 and 1941 and was certainly the owner of the "Alma" brand.[2] It also distributed the Peacock II in 1939,[3] and the First Reflex and Auto Semi First in 1943–4.[4]
A company name beginning in "Banno" and ending in "Shōten" (伴野○○商店, with illegible third and fourth characters), appears in the official price list dated November 1941 about the Semi Elka camera.[5] It is not known if this company is related to Banno Bōeki or not.
