The Ami (アミー) is a 6×4.5 folder that was sold by Tōkyō Shashin Shōkai[1] (東京寫眞商會 in old writing, i.e. "Tokyo photography trading") in 1941–2. It is a copy of the Ikonta and has a folding finder, an Ami f/3.5 75mm lens and an Ami shutter with speeds of 1–200.
The Ami was advertised in the March 1942 issue of Hōdō Shashin (報道写真) for ¥115, together with the Sintax (a Baldax copy) as a more expensive alternative.
In the early 1950s, there was an Amiflex 6×6 TLR; it is unknown if the two cameras are related.
Notes
- ↑ Its address at the time was Tōkyō-shi Kanda-ku Awaji-chō 2, 7 — Koguchi Building (東京市神田區淡路町二ノ七・小口ビル, in old writing).
