The Polo series from Adox in Germany was a series of 35mm viewfinder cameras begun in 1959. These shared a neat, attractive body style (which was somewhat spoiled by the selenium meter in their up-market siblings the Polomat and Polomatic).

Models

  • The Polo from 1960 has an Adoxar 45mm f/3.5 lens, and a three-speed shutter.
  • The Polo 1 has a 45mm f/3.5 Adoxar or Isconar 45mm f/2.8 lens, in a Vario or Prontor 125 shutter.
  • The Polo 1S has a synchronised Pronto shutter, with speeds 1/30-1/250s and a 45mm f/2.8 Adoxar or Schneider-Kreuznach Radionar L lens.
  • The Polo 1B from 1964 updated the series with a selenium meter (previously a feature reserved for the Polomat series) but with no viewfinder indicator.
