This 1988 camera labeled Canon Zoom on its front (with no letter or number suffixes) is a significant model in the company's long-running point & shoot series. While some previous models had offered dual focal lengths, this camera's 35-70mm zoom lens was relatively uncommon at the time, but was a feature soon to dominate during the 1990s. It also offers a slow-speed mode.
The branding is Autoboy Zoom in Japan, Sure Shot Zoom in the Americas, and Prima Zoom in Europe, Asia and Oceania.
