The Hawkeye Ace and Hawkeye Ace Deluxe are metal-and-cardboard bodied box cameras for 4x6.5 cm pictures on 127 film, made by Kodak in London from about 1938.[1] They are almost identical to the Baby Hawkeye of a few years earlier, which only differs by having a painted-metal front plate; the Ace has a panel of leatherette covering on the front. The 'deluxe' model differs only in having studs to allow the use of a string neck-strap.

The cameras have a simple shutter, operated by a sliding button below the lens. This has a 'flip-flop' action; moving the button in either direction gives an exposure.[2] The lens is a simple meniscus. There is a wire frame finder (only a front frame) which slides out of the body. The body detaches from the front board for loading, after pulling the winding knob out a little.
