I have been, since the 1970s, a user of Pentax K-mount SLRs (and now DSLRs), as well as a user of Pentax and third-party (especially Vivitar Series 1 and Tokina AT-X) lenses. My favorite photo subjects have always been (and still are) whales and birds, but I also admit to being an addicted photo gearhead ("gear for gear's sake") as well.
