The Semflash is a version of the Semflex 6x6 TLR made by SEM, with a fixed, side-mounted electronic flash. It has 75mm SOM Berthiot lenses; the taking lens an f/4.5, and the viewing lens an f/3.3. It has a lens shutter with a single speed of 1/50 second. It has a rigid chimney viewfinder.

The camera has the general arrangement of a press camera, but it is for studio use: the flash is mains-powered, and adjustable for 115 or 220 volt suppy. It is an electronic flash, with a permanent neon discharge tube, not disposable bulbs. SEM sold the flash unit separately for use with its other TLR cameras.

The camera was supplied in a suitcase-like carrying case.
