Schmitz & Thienemann was a camera maker in Tharandt, just outside Dresden, Germany in the 1930s. The company is known for SLR cameras for small plates:

  • Uniflex for 4.5x6cm plates
  • Ideal Reflex for 6.5x9cm plates[1]
  • Meteor Reflex also for 6.5x9cm plates[2]
  • Patent Sport Reflex also for 6.5x9cm plates (perhaps later)[3]

The cameras somewhat resemble larger wooden SLR cameras like the Soho Reflex, but have lenses with front-element focusing, and everset in-lens shutters, not focal-plane ones.
