SMPICGG Photosensitive Materials Factory in Shanghai, China was established in 1958. It is part of the SGSBCC who manufactures products such as sewing machines, paper shredders, along with distribution of Xerox office machines.
It's most well known products use the Shanghai brand name for black & white film and paper, X-ray films, inkjet papers, and other imaging media. A large amount of Shanghai GP3 120 roll film is exported by brokers in Hong Kong through Ebay, at a price that is generally low even if shipping charges are added. Sheet films in 5x4 size have also been produced.
