This simple viewfinder camera for 35mm film is labeled only Palmat Automatic on the camera, although the original packaging does show the name of its Japanese maker, Yamato. A prominent selenium meter cell dominates the front of the camera and provides autoexposure (film speed is input via a tab on the lens using code numbers). The Luminar 40mm lens is fixed focus. There are a few minor styling variations between examples, with grey or black shutter release buttons on the front of the body.
This camera was the basis of the late-version Mansfield Skylark.
