Nikon 1 V1

The Nikon 1 V1 is a mirrorless interchangeable lens digital camera released by Nikon in 2011. The newer Nikon 1 V2 released a year later in 2012.

It uses a CX format 10 megapixel CMOS sensor. Interchangeable lens use the Nikon 1 lens mount, but F mount lenses can be used with the FT1 adapter. It is available in black or white colour. It was released at the same time as theNikon 1 J1 model but contains different features. The V1 has a view finder but does not have a built-in flash. The J1 does not have a view finder but has a built-in flash. The V1 also has a higher resolution screen.

The camera uses both a mechanical and electronic shutter. 30s to 1/4000 sec. with a 1/250 sync for mechanical. 30 to 1/16000 sec. with a 1/60 sync for electronic. Two different types of auto focus are used; phase detection and contrast detection. For media storage it uses Secure Digital cards with support for SDHC, and SDXC. It is powered by a rechargeable 7v Li-ion EN-EL15 battery.
