Chinon AM-3

It is unclear why this camera's model designation, unique among Chinon's SLRs, begins with an "A" and not a "C." As far as can be determined, it is twin of the Chinon CM-1 or CM-3 with some minor styling differences (e.g. the pentaprism housing is wider and lacks leatherette panels).

This model is made to accept 42mm screw lenses and the user activates its stop down metering with a half press on the shutter release. Colored LEDs on the right edge of the viewfinder eyepiece indicate under/correct/over exposure for the current camera settings.

This model is designed to accept the accessory 2-frames-per-second Chinon Power Winder (shown here, and described in the manual). This offered a couple of advanced options such as an intervalometer and the ability to count down a predetermined number of frames.
