The Alfie Tych is half frame 35mm ultracompact made by Alfie Cameras. It was introduced via a Kickstarter Campaign in 2022, entering production and retail in late 2023. The camera has autoexposure with a full manual over-ride and EV compensation (±2EV) but its most obvious feature is the turret multiple lens barrel. At launch 2 models exist with the + model (£499GBP at Launch) offering an improved viewfinder and an additional premium lens over base model (£299GBP). All lenses are fixed focus and have a fixed aperture.
Lens options
- 30mm f/8 single element polycarbonate meniscus lens
- 28mm f/125 pinhole on etched brass plate
- 28mm f/56 zone plate
The + model adds a 33mm f/8 4 element in 2 groups arranged in a Rapid Rectilinear design. A space for this lens is on the base model with Alfie cameras offering an upgrade option. The lens barrel has a 46mm filter thread.
