The 1955-type Wardflex was built in Japan by Beauty (previously Taiyōdō), and is a rebranding of a Beautyflex T model. This version has no bayonet on the viewing lens and a TKK shutter and a Telmer 80mm f/3.5 lens.
In 1957, Wards offered a higher-spec Wardflex II model, which is a rebranding of the Beautyflex D. The lens is a Biokor f/3.5 with a 1-1/300 Syncro MX shutter.
