The 1955-type Wardflex was built in Japan by Beauty (previously Taiyōdō), and is a rebranding of a Beautyflex T model. This version has no bayonet on the viewing lens and a TKK shutter.

In 1957, Wards offered a higher-spec Wardflex II model, which is a rebranding of the Beautyflex D.
