The XV-1 is a 35mm SLR sold by Vivitar beginning in the late 1970s. It uses K mount lenses.

As with other numerous other Vivitar SLRs, the XV-1 was actually manufactured by Cosina, based on the CT-1, with only a slightly restyled pentaprism cover and self-timer lever. The vertically-traveling metal shutter offers speeds from 1 to 1/1000 second with flash sync at 1/125th. The match-needle exposure indicator is powered by a single 1.35v mercury button cell—now banned, and with available 1.5-volt replacements potentially giving incorrect readings.
