The Vito III was first produced by [[Voigtländer]] in 1950 and is more similar in design to the 35mm [[Prominent (35mm)|Prominent]] then to earlier [[Vito]] models ([[Vito]] , [[Vito II]] ) The Vito III features a [[Prominent (35mm)|Prominent]] styled top plate [[rangefinder]] coupling, the lens and shutter are mounted on a Vito style folding bellows. The Vito III's lens is a Ultron f/2 50mm with a synchronized Compur-Rapid shutter with 1-1/500 B and X-synchronized. Later models featured a Synchro-Compur shutter 1-1/500 B which was XM synchronized.
