I changes a number of things on a couple of your pages. mostly related to your photo image rights as they were inconsistent. flickr has them set by default as "all rights reserved" but you had them as cc (creative commons) on camera-wiki. so I changed them to wp (with permission). You can change them to another setting if you want. Also many of image source links were using you photostream, even though they were added to the camerawiki pool, so I changed them to the cw pool links. I know your a new cw and flickr user, so things are a tiny bit different.

Thanks for adding more content to the articles here! --Tkmedia 14:52, 15 June 2011 (PDT)

Welcome and some notes

Hi Ryan,

Thanks for your page contributions! Just a couple of points:

  • I noticed you removed the existing "links" section of Bessa (folders). Generally we don't like people to remove the work of earlier editors, unless it's demonstrably wrong. Even then, you'd start by making a note on the talk page explaining the problem, before changing the article.
    • I'll keep that in mind. Thanks for the tip
  • Please take a look at our help page on adding image for some more information about how we like to include photos, particularly about attribution and rights
    • well do
  • I'm concerned that you've credited many photos to "unknown." If these are not your own images (e.g. you got them off the internet somewhere and don't remember the source) we can't use them. We only allow photos with clear attribution and rights (and there are plenty in our pool).
    • The site I got them from does not list the photographer and the rights are listed as public domain. I contacted the site but have yet to hear back.
  • I've reverted your addition to Voigtländer which was copied directly from Wikipedia. We want original work; and even when copying from Creative Commons sources there is always a requirement to attribute the text to the source.
    • Good deal. I had placed that in just until I finished writing mine.

Let me know if I can help with anything else, --Vox 17:58, 15 June 2011 (PDT)

    • I'll let you know
