Hi all,

Some of you I already know, some others we will know each other soon, nevertheless just a place to say 'Hi' to everybody.

I am based in Spain, focus on MF and LF classic cameras up to 1960, with the exception of my 1966 Linhof Super Technika V, a 1989 Pentacon Six TL and a 2008 Mamiya 7II. My only 35mm cameras are a Vitessa A2 with Ultron 50/2 and a Canon EOS 55 which almost always goes with a Sigma 24mm lens. Only digital camera I have is a Canon 40D, which comes in handy to take pictures of my film cameras.

I like to take pictures, as much as I enjoy a good piece of craftmanship. For me, a camera is more than a tool. A good camera is a camera that allows oneself to take the picture - rather than a camera full of automatisms trying to do things their way - but also a piece of history with its own character that one feels proud of. Some of the cameras that I enjoy most are not the most advanced, or the most beautiful, or the most cleverly devised; nevertheless, they have something that atract me, and therefore make me use them, which in turn translates to more and better pictures.

I do not suffer from GAS but rather from GLS (Gear Loving Syndrome). I like history and I like photography; where both worlds meet you may find me.

I do not consider myself a camera collector, although I have quite a few. However, my liking for History kicks in and therefore I do collect what I call "parafernalia": old, unused rollfilms and plates, brochures & literature, catalogues, exposed negatives and plates, etc.

See you shooting on the streets !
