United Optical Instruments were based in Southend-on-Sea, England. They are known to have made at least two cameras, in the 1930s[1]:

  • Jupiter - a very simple plastic 127 film camera;
  • Merlin - a sub-miniature(20x20mm frame) cast metal camera.
