The Topcon Wink Mirror E is a further evolution of the Topcon Wink Mirror. The "E" hints at its addition of 1962's must-have feature, an Electric Eye—the selenium meter affixed to the front of the pentaprism. This model features an instant-return mirror and instant-reopen diaphragm, introduced in the Topcon Wink Mirror.

Beseler imported and rebranded this model for the US market as the Beseler Topconette.

Auxiliary Topcor wide-angle and telephoto attachments were offered to make up for the lack of true lens interchangeability.
