There was also a better-known French camera maker, Tiranty

Cesare Tiranti was a company making optical devices in Rome, Italy. The company is only known for one camera, the Summa Report, an unusual, high-specification press camera. The Patent for this camera was held by Flaminio Tiranti (presumably a descendant of Cesare), who also held patents for a microfiche reader.
