Tiffen is known as a producer of filters.

The Tiffen Company was founded in 1938 by Nat Tiffen (d. 2006), with brothers, Leo and Sol. It has acquired other companies and is the distributor of photographic filters, digital camera accessories, Steadicam, Kalimar, Davis & Sanford tripods, Domke bags, Saunders Easels, Saunders/LPL Enlargers, Silver Pixel Press and Kodak Books, Stroboframe flash brackets, Kodak Wratten and Kodak Polymar filter products and other Kodak branded accessories, Peak Loupes, and a number of other accessory lines.
