During WWII the company became state-owned because of its relations to Germany, and was forced to produce sextants and military optical rangefinders, and then it was sold as "enemy-asset".

I would like to have some clarification of the corporate history during this period, as I find this sentence unclear. Was the US Agfa Ansco company making products for the German government? And was then seized by the US government as an "enemy asset"? References needed.--Vox 10:04, 27 February 2011 (PST)
