:Definitely add it, somewhere! However, I'm not sure where it ought to go. Having had a look at the various Billy pages (and I did a quick Edit to Agfa Billy I) I'm not very confident of our current classification of the Billies. We already had a picture in the pool that the owner confidently calls a Billy I, with the f/6.3 Agnar and Vario shutter; even the viewfinder and table-stand look like yours (and I have added that picture to Billy I, but may have to come and undo that when I've searched around a bit more!). Butkus' site has a user manual for the Billy I which gives this lens and either a Vario or Pronto shutter. Collection Appareils also has the  same camera but with a Pronto, so I wonder if we should be classifying your camera as a Billy I. However, in neither of the examples above did the owner mention anything impressed in the leatherette of the camera, and I think Halgand would have, given his exasperation with Agfa's naming system! The name Billy I was used between the Wars, and then again after WWII; we have nothing much about the Billy II and III, which his site has examples of. Later, I'll see if I can find a catalogue or something to clear this up a bit.

:Incidentally, Halgand's site notes that the odd shape of the galilean viewfinder seems to be designed simply so that its base covers (and perhaps uses) the screw-holes that would hold a folding frame finder; and we have a picture in the pool, again named by its owner as a Billy I, and with the f/6.3 Agnar, with a frame finder.

:So I think it's up to you for now; you could create a new page for your camera, and link to it from the Agfa Billy list, or you could add a mention of your camera on the Billy I page, but acknowledging some suspicion that it may actually be a different product (perhaps the same camera, but sold at a different time with a different name).

hello!

i bought a Agfa Billy today. On the front cover it says "Agfa Billy 6,3". Furthermore it has a Vario shutter and Agnar 105mm lens. This model is not in the list, should i add it?

Cheers!

Definitely add it, somewhere!
Incidentally, Halgand's site notes that the odd shape of the galilean viewfinder seems to be designed simply so that its base covers (and perhaps uses) the screw-holes that would hold a folding frame finder; and we have a picture in the pool, again named by its owner as a Billy I, and with the f/6.3 Agnar, with a frame finder.
So I think it's up to you for now; you could create a new page for your camera, and link to it from the Agfa Billy list, or you could add a mention of your camera on the Billy I page, but acknowledging some suspicion that it may actually be a different product (perhaps the same camera, but sold at a different time with a different name).
