The Super (スーパー) and Special Super (スペッシャルスーパー) are Japanese 6.5×9 folding cameras taking film plates. They were distributed by Kikō-Dō around 1935 and were made by an unknown company.

Description

The Super and Special Super have a metal body and double extension bellows. There is a brilliant finder and a wireframe finder. Focusing is done via a small wheel placed on the right of the folding bed and the distance scale is on the left. Both models have vertical movement. The Special Super adds lateral movement ability and perhaps a bubble level and chrome plating.[1]

Notes

  1. Advertisement dated December 1935 reproduced in Kokusan kamera no rekishi, p. 74: a bubble level is barely visible to the side of the brilliant finder of the Special Super, and "chrome plating" is mentioned for that model only.
