The Cyber-shot DSC-T3 is a 5-megapixel compact digital camera introduced by Sony in 2004. The 3x zoom lens does not extend from the body, keeping the profile of the camera unusually flat. The Carl Zeiss Vario Tessar lens can focus as close as 50cm, a macro mode is also available that can focus as close as 10cm. The 1/2.4" 5 megapixel imaging sensor is Sony's own Super HAD which is based on a CCD design. Images are captured in 2592x1944, 2592x1728 (3:2), 2048x1536, 1600x1200, and 640x480 pixels. The back has a 230,000 pixel 2.5" TFT LCD Screen. Storage is with Memory Stick Duo/Pro and can use up to 1GB of storage. A 32MB stick is usually included. Power is with a Sony NP-FR1, 3.6V rechargeable InfoLithium battery. The base of the unit has a dock connector, which supports connectivity with USB2 and has video output in both PAL and NTSC.
