The Sony Alpha DSLR-A850 of 2009 was Sony's second full-frame DSLR. That means that the sensor format was 24x36, exactly the image format supported by all the old Minolta AF-lenses. Thus this camera was the model for the Minolta enthusiasts despite of its price was not much lower than that of the professional A900 full-frame camera.

It has the A900's Exmor CMOS 24 megapixel image sensor. It's functionality doesn't differ much from the A900.
