The Soho Cadet is a folding bed camera with a body made of bakelite and a brilliant finder for type No. 120 film rolls. It has a simple lens in a simple shutter with choice between Time and Instant mode. Focusing is possible by shifting the lens standard forward or backward along a distance scale at the outer end of the folding bed. It will snap in at certain distance settings (on some examples these settings are just 'near' and 'far'). Aperture setting is possible on some examples: if so, there is a small window in the front of the shutter body showing the number of the aperture setting, as pictured here. Other versions have a simpler shutter without that feature, or a Vario shutter with faster f/6.3 Kershaw Anastigmat lens instead.
