Samoca 35 J (with permission from Chloe Boshoff) image by Steve Chatfield (Image rights) |
The Samoca 35 J viewfinder camera for 35mm film , made in Japan by Sanei Sangyō K.K. (三栄産業㈱) probably around the late 1950s . A strange model from Samoca. Possibly a prototype. The name plate just screwed on the top . The lens housing looks like its made from bakelite / plastic. The curious mix of mid 1950s viewfinder parts mixed with top plate controls similar to the last rangefinder models (LE, M-35 etc).
