Rolleimat

The name Rolleimat was also used by Rollei on an enlarger.
The Rolleimat series of compact 35mm cameras were manufactured in Japan[1] for Rollei circa 1979-1981. These were very troubled years for the company, eventually ending in its 1981 bankruptcy[2]. The Rolleimat AF is notable as the first autofocus model ever offered by the company.

- Viewfinder camera with 0.48x magnification; parallax-correction marks
- Rolleinon 38mm f/2.8 lens (4 elements, 3 groups), zone focus to 1 meter/3.3 feet
- Programmed autoexposure from 1/350th sec at f/22 to 1/60th sec at f/2.8; controlled by CdS cell within filter ring
- 46mm filter thread
- Film speed range ASA 25-500
- Mechanical self-timer, delay 10 seconds
- Meter circuit powered by one 1.3v mercury battery, PX675 or equivalent
- Pop-up electronic flash, powered by two 1.5v AA batteries (separate from meter circuit)
- Rewind crank on bottom of camera
- Dimensions WxDxH: 135 x 54.5 x 77 mm
- Weight: 380 grams
This camera was also produced with minor cosmetic changes as the Rollei Flash 35. It now has a Rollei Lens 38mm 1:2.8.
Production period also 1979 to 1981, about 95.000 units.

- Autofocus to 4 feet/1.3 meters, using Visitronic system from Honeywell (like Konica C35 AF) with distance indicator in viewfinder
- Programmed autoexposure from 1/450th sec at f/17 to 1/8th sec at f/2.8; controlled by CdS cell within filter ring
- 46mm filter thread
- Film speed range ASA 25-400
- Meter circuit and integral electronic flash powered by two 1.5v AA batteries
- Rewind crank moved to top of camera
