The SL2000F was launched by Rollei in 1980. Despite its outward resemblance to a typical medium format camera, it's actually a complex and perhaps rather over-engineered modular 35mm system. Its innovations included a dual viewfinder for eye-level or waist-level use, and an integral motor drive. It uses interchangeable film holders with film inserts and a dark slide system for mid roll changes. The film holder attaches to the camera body, and a battery holder attaches to the back of the film holder.
