The KR-5sv is an SLR for 35mm film from Ricoh. Aside from the name and a small cosmetic differences, it is quite similar in features to the Ricoh KR-5 Super II. One change is that the ISO-setting dial has been moved from beneath the rewind crank, and integrated into the shutter speed dial. The KR-5sv is a "back to basics" manual-exposure, manual-focus model; but with a respectable 1/2000 second top shutter speed, wide choice of K mount lenses, and a self-timer.
Like the Ricoh KR-5 Super II and KR-5 III, this camera was engineered and manufactured by Cosina. It is a late entry in a long series of "KR-5" models which began with 1978's Ricoh KR-5.
