The KR-30 SP Program is an SLR for 35mm film which accepts K mount lenses, introduced by Ricoh in 1985. In some markets it was sold as the XR-20SP. As with the 1984 XR-P, the camera offers manual, aperture-priority, and programmed autoexposure modes (the last requires a compatible Ricoh "P" series lens). The XR-P accessory handgrip would also fit the later model. But this was slightly simplified camera, with only two program modes, and lacking some other XR-P bells and whistles (such as the intervalometer or "TV screen" shutter mode).

The electronically-timed shutter offers a range from 1/2000 to 16 seconds in its autoexposure modes. The electronics require extra battery power, in the form of two 3v lithium batteries (CR-1 /3N); or four 1.5v button batteries (LR44 or SR44).
