The Caplio GX100 was introduced by Ricoh in 2007, following its elder brother, the GR Digital. Its ability to accept an accessory electronic viewfinder in its hot shoe was an idea later adopted by many compact system cameras.
This compact camera is equipped with :
- a 10 megapixel sensor
- a 3x zoom 24-72mm (35mm equivalent)
- an image stabilizer
- scene exposure modes, and an aperture priority mode
It also can be powered by standard AAA batteries, and save pictures in Adobe DNG raw format.
