The '''Revueflex 5005''' is a re branded '''Chinon CE II Memotron''' sold by German retailer [[Foto-Quelle]] in Germany end of the 70s. So far only all-black models are known to exist. The only changes to the original Chinon camera seem to be the altered prism housing, flash sync contacts and different styled rewind and shutter speed knobs.

The Revueflex 5005 (and its counterpart the Revueflex 4004 bundled with a slower f/1.7 lens) were sold by Foto-Quelle, and are among the few autoexposure cameras to work with universal 42mm screw lenses. A halfway press of the shutter release stops down the lens for metering; and after confirming the shutter speed value indicated by a viewfinder needle, the user continues pressing until the shutter trips.

As with the manual-exposure Revueflex 2002 & 3003 these were manufactured by Chinon but distinctively restyled for private-label sale. The tall, boxy pentaprism housing and the dimpled control rings are the distinctive styling elements. The 5005 is derived from the Chinon CE II Memotron; but aside from the styling differences it omits the AE lock button or the viewfinder eyepiece blind (offering a simple plastic cap instead).

The electronically-timed shutter requires power from a largish 6 volt (4SR44) silver-oxide battery, without which only the mechanical 1/90th second "X" speed operates. Pressing the shutter release lights an LED alongside the eyepiece indicating sufficient battery for auto-exposure operation.
