Record Primar

The Record Primar' is a camera for 6.5x9 cm plates or film packs, made by Bentzin between 1927 and 1937.[1] McKeown describes it as a rigid-bodied version of the Fokal-Primar (strut-folding) camera.[1] It is designed for night photography; it has a fixed 9 cm f/1.5 Meyer Plasmat and a focal-plane shutter. According to McKeown, the lens only covers the full format when stopped well down.[1] It has helical focusing. The camera has a folding frame finder (and presumably ground-glass focusing if desired).
Only one surviving example is known to exist.[2] The camera was also sold in Britain by Roth, as the Roth Primar Focal Plane Camera.
