Not to be confused with the earlier One Step that used SX-70 film, or the later rounded body 670AF, the Polaroid One Step Autofocus (with curved corners) was part of a new generation of models (circa 1997) in Polaroid's 600-series. They can be distinguished from the fixed focus models of this type, by the lack of a close-up adaptor. See Polaroid One Step (curved corners). This fairly rare camera is usually found in a black casing, but see the equivalent models below.

Specifications

  • Lens: 116mm, f/11, Single-element plastic.
  • Autofocus (simple 2-zone detection, not Sonar, sharpest at 4-5 feet.
  • Shutter: electronic; automatic speed between 1/4-1/200 sec.
  • Integral auto flash that works in low light but cannot be forced on or off.
  • Polaroid's Light Management System (the darken/lighten exposure correction slider).

  • Polaroid 636 AF (Made in UK)
