The Petri FT is a stopdown-metering SLR using a proprietary Petri breech-lock lens mount. The body has some distinctive design elements, including an angled shutter release, a separate ASA dial alongside the rewind crank, a front-facing compartment for the mercury meter battery, and a stopdown lever just beside the shutter button.
