The Optio W80 is a rugged digital compact camera from Japanese manufacturer Pentax released in 2009. It was replaced with the Optio W90 a year later.
It improves upon the W60 released one year earlier. It is designed with shock-resistant at a height of 1 meters, dustproof, waterproof up to 5 meters, and cold resistant down to -10°C. It is available in a variety of colors.
It uses a 12 megapixel 1/2.3" CCD imaging sensor. This produces a max resolution of 4000 x 3000. It uses a 5-25mm; 35mm equivalent 28-140mm 5x zoom lens with a aperture of f/3.5 to f/5.5. The camera preview back uses a 230,000 dot 2.5 inch LCD screen. HD video can be captured in 720p but there is no HD video output. External storage is with a SD / SDHC card.
