The Pentax K-5 II and K-5 IIs are DSLRs which were introduced by Pentax at Photokina 2012 [1]. The Pentax K-5 II features exactly the same magnesium-alloy, weather sealed body of its predecessor, the K-5. The only changes were including a new gapless LCD technology and the new SAFOX X autofocus module.

The K-5 IIs was mechanically the same as the K-5 II, but removed the anti-aliasing filter for better sharpness.

Although they use the same sensor as the older K-5, both cameras performed better than the K-5 in Dxomark's sensor ratings. The sensors in the K-5 II provided better color depth and noise performance[2].
