The *ist DL is a SLR digital camera announced by Pentax in 2005. It is also sold by Samsung as the GX-1L

It uses KAF-mount lenses. It uses a 6 megapixel APS-C CCD imaging sensor. This produces a max resolution of 3008 x 2008. Photos are recorded in RAW as well as JPEG with normal, fine and super fine compression levels. The shutter has speeds of 30s to 1/4000 of a sec. Exposure program include the traditional aperture priority and shutter priority]] modes. There is exposure compensation with adjustments of ±3 EV at 1/3 EV or 1/2 EV steps. There is a built-in flash with auto, on, off, and red-eye reduction modes. A hot shoe is also provided. The camera preview back uses a 210,000 dot 2.5 inch LCD display. External storage is with a SD / SDHC card. Connectivity is via USB. It is powered by 4x AA batteries.
