The Parkur (パーカー) is a Japanese leaf shutter. It is found on cameras made by Proud and Miyoshi Kōgaku, and was probably made by either one of these two companies, or maybe in cooperation between both. It is always mentioned with U.L.L. lenses by Miyoshi.

The Parkur is advertised in November 1938[1] on the Semi Proud II and Super Semi Proud (early version). This variant is said to give T, B, 1–250 speeds and to be equipped with a self-timer.[2] It is again advertised under the name Parkur S in February 1939[3] on the Super Semi Proud (late version). The latter camera is also reported with a Parkur-Tokio shutter, it is probably an engraving variant.[4]

In 1941, a Parkur shutter giving T, B, 5–200 speeds is mentioned on the Roavic II, while the Roavic I is equipped with a Parkur-Rapid giving T, B, 1–500 speeds.[5] The latter still appears in an advertisement dated February 1942[6], while the cheaper version is now called Rex.
