The Lumix DMC-TZ40 is a compact digital camera from Japanese manufacture Panasonic and introduced in 2013. It was also released as the Lumix DMC-ZS30.

It features a 18 megapixel 1/2.3 CMOS sensor. This produces a maximum resolution of 4896 x 3672. The Leica DC Vario-Elmar lens has a 35mm equivalent focal length of 24 - 480 mm making it a 20x zoom. Aperture range of f/3.3 - f/6.4. There is a five axis optical image stabilization. The shutter speed is from 4 to 1/2000. The camera back features a 920,000 pixel 3" LCD touchscreen. Data is stored on a SDXC flash card.
