The Lumix DMC-FX50 is a compact digital camera from Japanese manufacture Panasonic and introduced in 2006.

It features a 7 megapixel 1/2.5" CCD sensor. This produces a maximum resolution of 3072 x 2304 in 4:3, and 3072 x 1728 in 16:9 node. The lens has a 35mm equivalent focal length of 28 – 102 mm making it a 3.6x zoom. Aperture range of f/2.8 - f/5.6 in wide or f/4.6-f/16.8 in tele. The closest focus distance is 50cm in normal, 5cm in macro and 30cm in tele mode. The shutter speed is from 8 to 1/2000. The camera back features a 230,000 pixel 3" LCD screen. Pictures are stored in JPEG format. Data is stored on a Secure Digital flash card.

A similar spec Lumix DMC-FX07 was also released, but has a 207,000 pixel 2.5" screen as well as some software differences.
